Tuesday 28th January 2014

Last weekend, as part of his ties to the Youth Sport Trust as a Sky Sports Living for Sport Athlete Mentor, Sam was invited by Sky Sports as a guest to appear on their flagship early Saturday morning children’s sport programme, Game Changers. The programme is hosted by British sprinting great Darren Campbell and long-time Sky presenter Di Dougherty, Sam was also joined live in the studio by England Hockey forward, Darren Cheeseman.

With a national audience of approximately seven million, Sam was able to share his story about his rise to the upper ranks of Paralympic sprinting to the children in the audience and coach a few tips on the importance of reactions in sprinting. He also took on the dreaded “Change Your Aim” basketball challenge, where he tied fellow Paralympian David Weir’s score of 18 points!
