Sam narrowly misses out on the Paralympic T35 100m final

Last night Sam narrowly missed on the 100m final in his first Paralympic games by 0.06 seconds.

Sam’s race was tight from start to finish with Sam getting off to a blistering start but eventually finishing 5th in his semi-final. Sam was beaten by 2 PB’s in the form of the Russian athlete Anton Bubnov and a sensational race from theĀ Ukrainian Iurii Tsaruk who set a world leading time.

Having only started running 6 months ago Sam has made staggering progress in these last 6 months and is looking forward to his 200m Paralympic debut on Wednesday night and can’t wait to get back out in from of the British crowd commenting.

“That noise was something I want to hear again at least twice before I leave these games, it was incredible!”
