The road to Rio starts here for Sam

Monday 8th October 2012

After a much needed rest Sam is back in training and 110% focused on the road to Rio 2016.

Last season was a very successful season for Sam after being selected for the Paralympic games in his first full season as an athlete, and with Rio 2016 in mind Sam is rested and can’t wait to get back to work.

“What I’ve done in the space of barely seven months is incredible and I’ve barely started to develop as a seasoned athlete coming into a new sport” commented Sam.

“I’ve had my taste of participation at the highest level of our sport and when I return to the Paralympics for Rio 2016, I want to be on the podium. But to do that, the next few years will need extremely hard work, something to which I am not a stranger. To continue to compete for Great Britain and Northern Ireland and to climb the rankings amongst the best T35 sprinters in the world is my ambition and I can’t wait to continue as I’ve started”.
